Delivery was on time and ordered item was long dreamed camera Nikon D90.
Everything looked O.K. until I charged battery and switched camera on.
1. Camera monitor was not operating, only colored vertical stripes.
2. Manual was in Spanish and software CD was not delivered.
3. When I tried to register camera on Nikon site to get manual, answer from Nikon site was that registration number is not recognized and camera probably is "grey market" product.
4. Looking more carefully on all items I discovered that monitor cover and battery does not look new and have visible scratches and probably have been used.

In general camera was working properly except monitor. Camera was purchased as "new" and because I have moved to Europe it is expensive to return this purchase to seller.

As many other reviews confirm, this is a good digital camera. After buying mine, however, I was disappointed to find that Nikon provides very poor support to users who do any kind of software post-processing with their pictures.

Nikon again changed the file format for this camera versus older models. As a result, most of the software you have probably won't work. Not only do you need the newest versions of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements if you're using Adobe products (ok, Nikon might argue that's Adobe's problem, but then, they provide no support to Adobe) - but wait, even your own Nikon software may not work at all! Neither the older Nikon Capture 4 photo editing software nor the relatively new Capture NX can read files shot with your D90! Nikon's technical support say there's nothing they can do about that and I should buy ($180) or upgrade ($100) to the newest version, Capture NX 2. In my case, all I'm using my Capture software for is to de-fisheye pictures taken with Nikon's 10.5mm lens, which worked well with my previous Nikon cameras. No more.

I consider Nikon's attitude unacceptable and warn everyone that you may end up having to spend much more than you thought if you want to use your D90 as most people do!

the flash does not go back after a couple uses- and Nikon does NOT pay for shipping costs to have this repaired.
Whole camera is NOT worth the upgrade of (broken) D70- Viedo is useless.

Now that the reports are coming in about the quality of Nikon's DSLR's, I have to warn consumers against buying these cameras. The most frightening thing about the D90 is also the most exciting: video at 24fps! Unfortunately this camera may have been rushed to market in the same way as many other Nikon cameras: at the expense of the consumer. Nikon's corporate philosophy is one of cavalier features and its very sad that they do this by sacrificing build-quality. Nikon: you cannot have your cake and eat it too. Slow down a little but and put some love into these builds. After owning a Nikon DSLR that began to fail right after the warranty expired I offer this piece of wisdom: go Canon.
